What is CoverMyRun, in one line?
A network where bus, coach and minibus operators pass work to each other. If you can't cover a job, you post it and another operator covers it. If you've got a vehicle free, you find work for it.
Does CoverMyRun handle the money?
No. We take no commission on jobs, hold no money and process no payments between operators. You agree the price on the platform, then invoice and pay each other directly, exactly as you do now.
What does it cost?
Registering is free, and there's no commitment. We'll be clear about pricing well before launch, and operators who register now will hear first.
What is Founder status, and how do I get it?
The first 10 operators to register and complete their profile are granted Founder status. Founders receive every future CoverMyRun update complimentary for as long as their account is active, along with a Founder badge and first access at launch. Places are granted in the order profiles are completed, so completing yours is what secures it.
Does complimentary forever really mean forever?
It means Founders are not charged for CoverMyRun features as they're released. It doesn't cover costs we pay to third parties on your behalf, such as SMS, and it applies while your account is active. We'll set the full terms out plainly before launch, and no Founder will be moved onto a paid plan for something that was free when they joined.
Is this just an auction where everyone undercuts each other?
No, and that's deliberate. You post the price you're prepared to pay. The other operator accepts it, counter-offers, or asks a question. It's a negotiation between two businesses, not a race to the bottom.
Who sees my contact details?
Nobody, until a job is agreed. Operators see your company profile and the job details. Contact details are released only once both sides have agreed.
Who can join?
Bus, coach and minibus operators. This is for operators, not for members of the public booking travel.
When does it launch?
We're building it now and recruiting operators first, because a network with nobody in it is no use to anyone. Register and we'll tell you the date as soon as we've got one.
Where does it cover?
Northern Ireland first, then across Ireland and the UK.
